Dressing up has always been a fun activity for me to do. I remember back in Russia, my cousin and I would climb into our grandmas closet and try on her high heels. We'd stomp around the house, tripping, and grabbing one another, so that if one goes down, the other does too. As we grew up, shopping for stylish things has become our hobby. I find shopping to be an art form, and it isn't as easy as some might think. Of course, if you don't have a budget, it might be a little easier to afford brands such as Gucci, Dolce Gabanna, Channel, etc. But for us girls, trying to save money for college, to have enough for everyday life, and still look glamorous, it can be a little problematic. I want to share 3 rules that i have gathered:
1. Know how to say no: If it's the expensive price or the small/big size, you need to learn how to say "no" to yourself, or it IS going to end up at the back of your closet. You will end up using the excuse, "Its not really comfortable" or "I don't really like it anymore" (Am I right or am I right ladies?)
2. Does the brand really matter?: For some, the brand might be everything, but for everyday life does it really matter? Half the time the 80% of the enormous cost is for the actual brand name and not the material/quality.
3. Yes, be that coupon girl: Many tend to be afraid to look like those people on Extreme Couponing. Don't be. Having 3-5 coupons for some items will save you so much money, guaranteed. You won't believe how little you paid for an item, you'd want to scream it out for everyone to hear.
